The production process of wooden windows

26 March 2026 |

Quality that starts with the raw material

The production of our windows is a precisely designed and consistently monitored technological process, in which each step directly impacts the durability, aesthetics and stability of the finished product. Below, we present how our windows are made – from raw material to the final product.

1. Careful material selection

Production begins with the purchase of laminated timber exclusively from reliable, proven suppliers. The material has the required quality certificates, and its parameters – particularly moisture content – are constantly monitored. This ensures the repeatability, quality and stability of the raw material

2. Controlled storage

The timber is stored in separate warehouse where we maintain constant climatic conditions. Air humidity is precisely regulated to maintain wood moisture content within 11-13% range year-round, regardless of the season. This step is crucial for the subsequent dimensional stability of the windows.

3. Planing with 0.1 mm precision

The material is then planed to dimensions with a tolerance of ±0.1 mm. This high precision is essential to ensure that all the elements fit together perfectly after profiling, ensuring the integrity, aesthetics and durability of the structure.

4. Wood impregnation and stabilization

We fully impregnate the profiled elements. The impregnation penetrates the wood structure to a depth of several milimeters, utilizing its natural hygroscopic properties. As a result, the wood “works”, swells and stabilizes its structure.
After impregnation, controlled drying occurs, and at this stage we fill in any natural wood imprefections with specialized fillers – selected for the specific wood species. In the case of finger-jointed elements, the joints are also precisely finished.

5. Four-sided grinding

The next step is four-sided grinding of the profiles, the goal of which is to perfectly even the surface and prepare the material for gluing. After this grinding, the profile surface is exceptionally smooth – velvety.

6. Gluing the structure – frames and sashes are created

The finished profiles are sent to the gluing stations and clamps. At this stage, the complete window frames and sashes are created. The technological holes are reinforced with connecting pins, increasing the strength of the entire structure. The elements are then transferred to the paint shop.

7. Multi-stage painting and controlled drying

Painting the woodwork is done by spraying three layers of paint or varnish-stain. Each subsequent layer is preceded by appropriate surface preparation:

1) primer → grinding,
2)
leveling layer → matting,
3)
finishing layer.

The key element is the drying process, which is not performed using high temperatures, but rather through precisely controlled airflow with variable humidity

a. Immediately after spraying, the woodwork is placed in a high-humidity chamber for a few minutes (2-4 minutes) to allow the paint to flow perfectly.
b. It then passes through four drying zones with varying humidity levels, ensuring proper bonding of the coatings and long-lasting durability of the finish.

The entire painting process takes approximately one day.

8. Fittings, glazing and finishing

After painting, the following steps take place:

+ fittings installation,
+ glazing,
+ glazing-bars installation (if the window has glued-on glazing bars).

Each window undergoes a final quality inspection and any necessary detail finishing.

9. Packaging and storage

Finished products are packaged according to the ordered security standard and transferred to the finished goods warehouse, from where they are prepared for shipment.
