The terms balcony window and balcony door are often used interchangeably. We would like to draw attention to the nomenclature we use to distinguish balcony windows from balcony doors.
How do we know that we have a window or balcony door in front of us?
We talk about a window when the handle is a typical window handle and is mounted from the inside of the room. The handle is usually mounted in a standard window profile whose width = 78 mm.
HANDLES: Our standard window handles are Hoppe model Tokyo in white – RAL 9016 and brown – RAL 8019. Other models of handles are also available.
All handles are available in the following colors: RAL 9016 – White / RAL 8019 – Brown / F4 – Old gold / F9 – Titanium / F1 – Silver
2. Balcony doors, what distinguishes doors from windows is the fact that the door has a double-sided handle. Since the handle is on both sides, balcony doors separate the house (apartment) from the outside world, so they must be additionally equipped with a solution that ensures that the door is closed (locked) during the absence of household members, i.e. protected against entry by unauthorized people.
A lock + insert is installed in the door to ‘lock’ the door from the inside or outside of the room.
The profile in which the lock and double-sided handle are placed must be wider for everything to work properly. The width of the profile with the handle is 106 mm (for comparison, the width of the balcony window profile is 78 mm).
HANDLES: For balcony doors, we use handles (1) on a sign and (2) handles with a rosette. Standard colors are white – RAL 9016 and brown – RAL 8019.
All handles are available in the following colors: RAL 9016 – White / RAL 8019 – Brown / F4 – Old gold / F9 – Titanium / F1 – Silver
